Oana Enache’s Background

I am a trained Medical Doctor (MD) with a strong desire to help others through advanced medical knowledge, informed by rigorous research. My journey began in 1988, when I was admitted to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” in Bucharest, from which I graduated as a medical doctor in 1995.

In parallel with my Medical Doctor career, where I earned a Consultant title after devoting myself to rigorous work, I worked in the area of clinical trials for more than 26 years. My expertise spans various therapeutic areas, with trials conducted worldwide across the APAC, Europe, LATAM, and North America regions. This activity broadened my horizons not only in drug development but also in diagnosis methods, i.e., laboratory tests and medical devices.

My Professional Path Towards Medicine

I have two strongly interconnected professions. My path began with a natural inclination towards a career in medicine. I was driven by a deep care for human beings and a hope to cure all suffering and diseases wherever possible.

The world of clinical trials, however, unexpectedly entered my life. A friend introduced me to this area, and it immediately felt like a perfect match for my scientific and analytical approach to medicine. This was a pivotal moment, leading me to a career where I could combine my medical knowledge with evidence-based research to contribute to global health advancements.

Areas of Expertise and Specializations

My expertise is extensive and multifaceted.

As a Medical Doctor, I was a general practitioner with additional certifications in emergency medicine, echocardiography, occupational medicine, nutrition for health, immuno-oncology, and virology.

Within the clinical trial industry, my experience spans a vast array of therapeutic areas, including but not limited to: Oncology (including gene therapy trials like CAR-T ), Cardiology and metabolic Diseases, Rheumatology, Neurology (including Neuropathic Pain), Foetal and Neonatal Pathologies, Immunology and Autoimmune diseases,  Gastrointestinal Diseases, and Infectious diseases.

I have managed clinical trials across all phases of drug development, from Phase I (first-in-human) to Phase III (large-scale studies involving more than 1000 patients worldwide). I have also been involved in post-marketing follow-up trials and have led studies covering Europe, Latin America, the APAC region (including Japan), and the USA. I am also experienced in the intricate process of transitioning trials between Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and Sponsors.

The Importance of My Work

What truly keeps me running is the continuous stimulation of my mind through new approaches in diagnosis and treatment. I enjoy working. This constant learning and exploration keep me engaged and passionate about my work, knowing that I am contributing to a field that directly impacts human well-being.

Top 3 Strategies for Quality of Life

  • Good Sleep: Prioritizing consistent and restful sleep.
  • Sport/Movement: Engaging in regular physical activity.
  • Healthy, Nutritious Food and Liquid Intake: Maintaining a balanced and nourishing diet.

My Approach to Health

My approach to improving health is rooted in recognizing the extreme complexity of the human body. I believe it’s crucial for people to understand that what benefits one person might be detrimental to another. Just as good doctors tailor treatments, health guidance must be personalized. Correlation does not equal causation, and blanket advice often falls short.

Therefore, I will strive to offer evidence-based guidance that helps each person discover what truly suits their unique needs and lifestyle. I don’t support complicated or restrictive advice that is difficult to sustain, nor do I believe in “superfoods” or magical pills for “detoxification.” I am a strong advocate of cultivating small, reliable, and sustainable habits that can help individuals maintain their health and prevent disease. And I believe in the power of community and positive thinking.

My Contribution to OmniBloom

At OmniBloom, I aim to share my extensive medical experience, emphasizing education and critical thinking. In today’s often overwhelming environment, filled with conflicting advice, I want to provide practical tools and guidance. My goal is to help people navigate this landscape effectively, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

In addition to my involvement with OmniBloom, I currently serve as a Project Manager in the clinical trials field, overseeing not only the development of drugs and treatment methods but also laboratory assessments.

My Vision for OmniBloom

I started as a participant in one of OmniBloom’s retreats, and that was the moment we clicked together. It was also the occasion to make a small contribution, which made me optimistic about the significant input I can bring to this area.

I aim to raise awareness and offer practical, positive guidance, particularly in the realm of nutrition, through engaging tools and lectures. I will combine my deep medical knowledge with a rigorous evidence-based approach to ensure our offerings are both impactful and trustworthy.

Why Self-Development is Crucial to Me

For me, self-development is vital because, as Lion Feuchtwanger wisely put it, “When the house is ready, death comes.” This quote beautifully encapsulates my belief in continuous growth and learning—the idea that life is about constantly evolving and enriching oneself. In fact, right now (n.a. December 2025), I am enrolled in Nutritank, an NHS (National Health Service in the UK) accredited CME (Continual Medical Education) Provider.

In Oana’s Free Time

Currently, I am settled in the Northern part of the UK, residing in a rural area that offers tranquility, yet is conveniently close to a significant university center. In my free time, I enjoy participating in a creative writing group, which keeps me connected with like-minded and imaginative people.

I also enjoy sports and walking, especially on the beach when possible, as the Northern Sea is only an hour and a half from my home. I am a passionate cinephile and an ardent lover of Opera. Among my special interests, I can also mention: bioengineering techniques, cell therapeutics, nutrition, and the impact of physical activity on health (Yoga/Pilates/HIIT).
